Royal Zoological Society Natura Artis Magistra

Artis Zoo «Natura Artis Magistra» is located in a peaceful and quiet area of Amsterdam . The zoo was opened in 1838 and at the beginning of its activity was available exclusively to members of society «Natura Artis Magistra». Over time, the zoo became known simply Artis. 

Today the entrance to the zoo is free and anyone can visit this amazing place. It contains more than seven hundred species of animals that live in the wild in various climatic zones. Many inhabitants of the zoo housed in open spacious enclosures that are in close proximity to the footpaths. 

No less interesting for visitors and Aquarium, located inside the park, Artis, and a terrarium in which representatives of the class home to rare reptiles.
