The Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen
Art Museum Boijmans - Van Beuningen is in Rotterdam and is the largest art gallery in the Netherlands.
The museum was founded in 1847 when Frans Jacob Otto Boymans Rotterdam presented his collection of paintings. And in 1958 the museum was transferred to the collection of paintings by Daniel George van Beuningen. Over time, the art museum was renamed the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen.
Today Boymans - van Beuningen has a rare collection of paintings, decorative arts, sculpture and graphics. Separately exhibited works of art Medieval Asia. In the museum you can also see paintings by Dutch and Flemish masters.
Museum Boijmans - Van Beuningen is beside the Nieuwe Maas in Rotterdam city center, reachable on any public transport from any part of the city.
