Rijksmuseum

State Museum, located in Amsterdam, is considered Europe's largest repository of art paintings, prints, and artifacts of different cultures.

In 1808 on the initiative of the King of Holland, Louis Bonaparte in Amsterdam were collected works of art from all over the country. And in 1885 the opening of the Rijksmuseum - Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. The author of the project, which is being built museum building was the famous architect PJH Cuypers.

Today, visitors to this museum can see the magnificent paintings belonging to famous artists brush Rembrandt, Jan Steen, Frans Hals, Vermeer and many others. Especially proud of their museum collections are considered the painting "The Milkmaid", "Night Watch", etc.
