Windmill De Drie Koornbloemen
Mill Dri Kornblomen (Three Flowers) is one of the oldest in the Netherlands. It was built in 1770. In the early 19th century mill was used for cutting mahogany and hulling rice. Then there began refining corn kernels and peas grind. In 1938, the mill crushed stone and tile. Later it was used again to work with the grain.
Dri Kornblomen is the oldest windmill in Schiedam. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that it adjoins the miller's house. Building a circular shape made of stone. Walls plastered and whitewashed buildings. On the eastern side of the windmill is a plaque. Currently doing here milling grain.
The mill is located in Schiedam and it comes in many hiking trails. You can rent a bike and see the main sights of the city, which is proud, are undoubtedly the mill, the most famous of which - Valvish , Nord , Vrizhid and actually Dri Kornblomen. Most of them are along the channel of New Haven.
